Fox's Den Lodge Walleye Fishing

We are lucky enough to have our Lodge located on one of northern Ontario's great
walleye lakes. Our lake is just filled with with hard fighting and
tasty Ontario walleyes. Over the years Dog Lake has been the subject of various magazine articles on the quality of the Walleye
fishing. The known lake
record was a 36" walleye
What makes Dog the perfect lake for a high Walleye population is it's great structure. With over 13,500
acres (not including
are great walk-in lakes) to fish, you'll find many shoals, weed
beds, rocky points, drop-offs and
islands to fish. In our immediate area there are two rivers that drain into the
lake. These rivers provide the Walleye with
perfect spawning conditions and are protected as fish sanctuaries.
You'll find the Walleye in our lake average between 1-2lbs but large trophy Walleye up to the 10-pound
mark are caught and released each season. Generally it takes a big lake to
produce big Walleye. We encourage catch and release of the larger fish but
if you enjoying eating Walleye, there are plenty of eaters to be caught in our lakes.
