TRAVELERS DRIVING TO CANADA WILL NOT NEED A PASSPORT TO RETURN TO THE U.S.THIS SUMMER.

AS OF JANUARY 2007 A PASSPORT IS NEEDED FOR AIR TRAVELERS RETURNING TO THE U.S.TRAVELERS BY CAR ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE A PASSPORT AT THIS TIME. THAT IS SET TO CHANGE NO LATER THAN JUNE 2009

      For a long time the U.S. / Canada border has been the longest friendly border in the world.  Because these two great allies have such a long

history, many American’s treat the border like crossing a state line.

     In the years post 9/11 entering and returning from Canada has changed dramatically. Terrorism is a real threat and that threat is taken seriously.
